While I strongly advise keeping two-step verification on for security reasons, there are times when one wants to turn it off. Here is how to do that.
Log in to the website: http://appleid.apple.com
Then enter your Apple ID and password and click the arrow.
Scroll down to ‘Security‘ and look for ‘Two-Step Verification.’ There will be a link you can click on to change your settings.

Two step verification makes your emails much more secure but can be inconvenient if you want to check your email real fast. Thanks for this post.
I strongly recommend two-step verification… it protects my email (gmail) and prevents people from accessing my data on my Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac). But if you need to turn it off, I recommend only doing so for a short time period. There are way too many bad people that will find a way to get you and that’s not good!
